And that means you don’t have to stay in Waikiki if you don’t want to. Oahu is a big beautiful island and there are many amazing places to experience. We want you to really enjoy Hawaii and will customize a Stand Up Paddle Tour just for you. If you need a stand up paddle rental for the day, we have you covered, but if you want a little local Hawaiian flavor, we’d love to create that for you.
We have several favorite tours that we have put together for our guests. Want a killer workout in beautiful environs? We will take you for a stand up paddle lesson in Hawaii Kai where there’s both calm, flat water as well as some surf to check out if you are up for it. After a SUP session, we’ll eat a little snack before heading up the mountain. Koko Head is one of the most populars hikes on the island because it is fun, challenging and has amazing views. We do this hike all the time and love it. When you get to the top, there are 360 degree views of Diamond Head, downtown Waikiki, and the windward side of Oahu. Afte the hike, I promise you will have worked up an appetite and we can check out one of the favorite local eateries. The Kona Brewing Company in Hawaii Kai is a very popular destination for many of our guests. Kona Brew Company has some fantastic brews on tap with an amazing view from the deck right on the waterfront.
In one day, you will have experienced a few of Oahu’s best spots and activities and seen things that many locals have not seen yet.
Another favorite stand up paddle lesson in Waikiki for those who want a true local experience starts at Ala Moana beach park where we teach you the SUP basics and get you out in the water enjoying yourself straight away. After some solid paddling time near a beautiful stretch of beach, we’ll take you to one of the bests spots for a true Hawaiian lunch. Poke and Kalua pig at our favorite seafood market. Just a tiny, hard to find spot for people in the know. My favorite place for fresh poke.
For anyone who would like a real adventure, we’ll take you to the country. The North Shore! Locals know Honolulu as “town” and the North Shore as the “country”. It’s a different world on the north side of the island. Revered by surfers all over the world because of the huge winter waves, the country is a uniquely Hawaiian place. There are many different surf breaks on the NS and we will take you to some great spots for stand up paddling.
How about a early morning paddle session followed by some shave ice at the famous Matsumoto’s in the historical town of Haleiwa? You have to visit the country for a true Oahu experience.
These are just a few examples of some custom stand up paddle tours in Waikiki and other beautiful SUP destinations on Oahu. If you want more than just a stand up paddle lesson in Waikiki, we will create a fun filled adventure on the island just for you.
Aloha! Jamie
